Jazz Attack offers the best Lindy Hop & Swing Dance lessons in Philadelphia -- no partner or experience required -- followed by a social dance party to the city's best swing DJs, plus an incredible live big band gala on September 10th and special weekend-long festival, It's Always Lindy in Philadelphia, September 25-27! October 1st: Back to School Night - Sudents dance for $1 - ft. the Temple University Lab Band
8-9pm:
Lindy 101 Lesson: Intro to Lindy Hop & Jazz with Lewi Gilamichael & Gianfranco Semino
Drop in any week & learn the basics of Lindy Hop and a few solo jazz moves in this beginner-oriented class. This class will have some overlapping and some new elements every week, and we recommend taking it multiple times before advancing to the topics class.
Level 1 Series: All About 8 Count with Kate Holden & Mike McDermott
From swings outs to double turns, join Mike and Kate for a series…all about 8 count! They’ll explore every 8 count move they can think of in this series and get you super comfortable with Lindy hop’s most versatile rhythm. This class series will build on Lindy 101 and other Level 1 series to expand your dance vocabulary and deepen your lead/follow communication skills.
Level 2 Series: Solo Jazz Adventures with Maryl Harris (future weeks: Giavanna Townsend, Nick Cruickshank, Steven Fox, and Lewi Gilamichael)
Why take a series with one amazing solo dancer when you can take it with FIVE? We're going on some solo jazz adventures this month with several of Jazz Attack's favorite instructors. Deep-dive into their favorite moves and techniques to level up your solo and find your own style. Pre-req: Comfortable with the shim-sham. This series will be held down the street at Walker Ballroom -- 1822 Spring Garden St., 3rd Floor. Everything else held at 1336 Spring Garden.
9-11pm: Social dance party with LIVE BAND: The Temple University Lab Band + DJ Rachael Keneipp

Born of the artistry and innovation of Black dancers and musicians, and passed down orally and physically through generations, we take great care in sharing this art form in a way that is true to these sounds, styles, and values while encouraging the innovation that is hallmark of all Black social dances.
