If you've been searching for the best dance night in Philadelphia, we have some exciting news: Jazz Attack has been named Best Dance Night in Philadelphia in Philadelphia Magazine's Best of Philly 2026 Awards.

We're honored to receive this prestigious recognition, but are even more grateful to the thousands of dancers, musicians, teachers, and volunteers that make Jazz Attack more than just a dance party every Thursday night. It's taken Jazz Attack over 1,000 events to reach this milestone, but we have not doubt that it's our great community of people that made it happen. We'd be even more excited if you swung out with us this week!

What is Jazz Attack?

Jazz Attack is Philly's home for Lindy Hop & Swing, and a gathering space for the most wonderfully eclectic group of people to get together and revel in it. Every Thursday night we bring together dancers of all experience levels, from yearslong Lindy Hoppers to many a first-time triple stepper. We bring together music lovers, community builders, arts & culture explorers, and movers of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs.

No partner required. No experience required.

Just show up ready to move, laugh, and enjoy a fun evening with great people, all for as little as $10 (and less for students!)

They nailed our essence as a "volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to spreading appreciation of the vast range of swing dance." While we primarily teach Lindy Hop, a style rooted in the predominantly Black ballrooms & rent parties of Harlem, NYC, on our dance floors you can catch everything from Lindy to Charleston to Balboa to Blues to Shag to Breakaway and beyond. And it's all taught by an incredible teacher core that has devoted themselves to their craft, and put together by a volunteer team that just loves making magic.

note: school parking lot after hours, no issues to date but park at your own risk

Price: DJ nights run $10 general / $7 students when purchased a day in advance or $12 general / $9 students on the day of. Add $5 for live band nights
